Happy February, everyone! How we feeling about the last month of winter? I know I can’t wait for springtime!
I wanted to just let you know about my channel changes going forward. I will no longer be called “Yoga for Writers” on YouTube. Instead, introducing the “Pages & Pauses” channel!
The reason for the change is because I won’t be uploading many full length yoga asana classes anymore. Instead, I would like to share the lesser known parts of yoga a whole. The asanas (physical practice) is only a small part of yoga and why it’s such a beautiful, wholesome experience. So, I’d like to share that so more people can learn what it’s all about.
I felt like my asana practice was a little forced and I wasn’t channelling the things I’d learned in my yoga teacher training. Instead, I’m still a student of yoga as a whole and while I am, I’d like to share what I’m learning and what it means to me.
How to Breathe series

For the month of February, the theme is pranayama (Breathwork practice). Many people have heard of this side of yoga but perhaps haven’t practiced many of the techniques before or know the benefits of the practice. I aim to try my best to serve you in this way.
This will be through YouTube shorts, not full length videos.
Look out for:
So in this vain, you can expect to see content around yoga as a whole and how it can shape how we live our lives. This includes:
- Introduction to Mudras
- Meaning of yogic vocabulary
- Yoga 101 – short videos introducing each asana and their benefits
- Introduction to Locks
- Introduction to Chakras and debunking myths
- Plot Twists – why we have twist variations in some poses
- Inversions
- Our 3 bodies
- And more!
I can’t wait to learn and grow as true yogis together!
Sincerely,
S. Xx
