This New Year’s Eve, I’d like to do something different to thank 2025 for what it has given me and to invite in the new year with a clean slate.
- Write down your goals / ideas for 2026 on paper, and cut into strips then fold. Then, burn each one until one is left. Whatever is left should be your main focus for the year.
- Intentional flowy yoga session including full meditation and pranayama practice.
- Clean the house to remove the old energy.
- Finish off small tasks: like your current read or a quick errand so things feel like they are closing.
- Eat 12 grapes: while making 12 wishes / prayers for loved ones.
- Write a letter to people you love listing the things you wish for them in the new year.
- Set up your planner so you can see your year ahead at a glance and get excited for it.
- Spend time with someone you truly care about in the last moments of the year / first moments of the new year.
- Wear a lucky item of clothing.
- Go for a walk outside in the first minutes of the new year to take in the fresh air and the sky alight with fireworks.
- Open your back door just before midnight to let out the past year; then open the front door to invite in the new year.
- Take a moment of silence and stillness to truly let something go and to visualise what you want to invite in.
